Jesse S. Mitchell was born a lucky lump of clay with a full head of hair and was raised by a wild pack of televisions. Taught himself to read and write and now, he writes pretty stories on the backs of old magazines and out of date bus schedules.
I’m Peter Chrisler. I have been working on decorative art in many mediums since the age of eight. Most of my work will be incorperated into green screen projections for a screenplay and eventual movie made of my novel”Cassalancq”,pubilshed by xlibris.com. An online excerpt can be read by entering my name or book title. Further examples of my work can be seen at theartofpeterchrisler.net.
My name is Papuna Bersenadze, I’m from the republic of Georgia. I’ve been living in Seattle area for almost 8 years now, well mostly living here. I’ve graduated from Central Washington university in Ellensburg with a BA in political science, minoring in philosophy. I’ve also studied abroad in Paris for a semester as part of my degree. Not counting the art classes in second grade, I started painting sometime in the fall of 2008, in Ellensburg. One day I just felt like oil painting, so I went and bought a canvas board thing, box of oil paint, and a couple of brushes. And in a couple of months (since oil paint does take considerable time to dry) my first painting was born… “Paris”.
Hector Hernandez was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles, surrounded by media of all sorts; Hollywood, video games, cartoons, music, etc. His work has been influenced by his surroundings, new and old, and more recently by literary works dealing with the absurd, fabulists, and parody/sarcasm; Cervantes’ Don Quixote, Italo Calvino, David Shrigley, Robert Crumb, Monty Python, and Umberto Eco to name a few. Although he may look serious (or his work seems serious), Experimenting, Comedy and having Fun is an important part of his work process. You can check out more on his Tumblr site.
Mark Crummett was raised in a house full of art in a suburb of Washington, DC. His father was a writer, photographer, painter and assemblage artist (a great fan of Joseph Cornell), and an important early influence.Self-taught in photography since his teens, he was a photographer, photojournalism instructor and editor in the US Army. After earning his journalism degree from Oregon State University, he worked as a newspaper photographer in Maryland and a digital picture editor in Virginia. Along the way he earned a couple of computer certifications. He now combines his interest in technology and visual art. “I find the stuff inside a computer even more interesting and mysterious than the stuff it can do,” he says. He now uses technological castoffs as his raw material and subject matter. He lives in Portland, Oregon with his wife Lisa.
Megan Cutler: While i d always loved the sound of pen on paper and the feel of thoughts flowing effortlessly, i d always found that words tended to be inadequate. i often spend my days alone with a cupof coffee and a crisp journal. writings are later turned into bold and emotional paintings to the background of aggressive music. a detail oriented perfectionist. a previous graphic designer. clean and organized until acrylic is beaten onto canvas. my paintings are overwhelming, demanding and destroy stereotypes of the female artist.
